filipino fact of the day 100402:

In 1763, Filipinos made their first permanent settlement in the bayous and marshes of Louisiana. As sailors and navigators on board Spanish galleons, Filipinos -- also known as "Manilamen" or Spanish-speaking Filipinos -- jumped ship to escape the brutality of their Spanish masters. They built houses on stilts along the gulf ports of New Orleans
and were the first in the United States to introduce the sun-drying process of shrimp.

got interviewed for the filipino channel today by the wonderful evangeline fabios or "vangie" as we call her. me ang sherl and steez were stressin all week on what we were going to wear. haha. it went pretty well. was it just me or did anyone else think aj was hey? hes cool. im not mackin people. im just state-ing some side facts (plug). haha. wore my "get your ratios right" shirt today that i made lastnight seriously. i think imma start a business. ill make shirts. ill make my own line damnit. and wardrobe. ill be the only one wearing my shirt.. with the exception of the facs ill itators. haha. if you want a shirt.. imma set a price of $10. but $7 if you provide your own shirt. yano.. gotta pay for ink and process. im not gonna make alot of profit from those prices since all of it will go to ink and the process. ill put a site with all my designs soon. watch. it will be cool. but yeah go watch tfc this week if you want to see one of my segments of shoutouts spoken by the one and only fresca of whom all the guys are in love with. shes one "spunky" chick as someone would say.. haha. shes cool though. but mad thanks to vangie and aj for coming (damn.. ive chilled with her every month for the past three months!) oh lordy. this will be the crazy-cookyness. took karess, kristina, eli, and juanito (wan too) to brusters after the interviews (ended around 7 pm) and chillaxed for a bit. then took them to walmart then home.

yesterday had quite the conversation with lizdel and mcsherl saliba about everything from (no order) facs to senior status to college to tallwood to more facs to venting about a certain "spunky seeker" to relationships to friends to my so-called "alchoholism" and the people that are concerned (and the irony in that) to.. the list goes on. talked for like three hours. may go to brusters tomorrow with mcsherl saliba and lizdel and maybe to the tallwood homecoming game. ah. homecoming. can you believe that that was the last september we'll ever spend in salem fellow seniors?? time flies. go oh three!
